Diagnostics, Parts and Fitting
Your device will be fitted by one of our experienced engineers on site as soon as possible and you will be notified a timeframe when you hand in your device, if your repair is likely to be delayed due to waiting for the delivery of parts, you will be notified by telephone or email as soon as possible. Initial faults will be diagnosed by using information given to us by you and by examining your device, if it is discovered that there is extra faults or if the initial diagnostics was incorrect, we will contact you to give you a new quote. No work will be carried out on your device until we have spoken to you and agreed a new price. If you decide not to go ahead with the repair, a £10 diagnostics quote may be payable. At Gadget Magic we always do our best to only use genuine parts for our repairs. However if genuine parts are not available at the time of your repair, a high quality replacement will be sourced at our discretion.
Water Damage Repairs
We have a very high success rate repairing water damaged devices, however it is impossible to recover all devices if they are passed the point of repair. There is a minimum charge of £15 for all of this type of repair due to the amount of time taken to attempt the repair. Successful water damage repairs are £30, however if the liquid damage process has damaged other parts on your device (i.e battery or lcd) and you need these to complete the repair you will be notified of the cost and you can decide to complete the repair or not. If you decide not to go ahead with the extra parts, £20 charge for a successful treatment will be payable.
Warranty – All of our Original screen repairs come with 12 months warranty, if you choose a copy screen for your repair, we provide 30 days warranty. All other repairs come with 12 months warranty (excluding batteries). This covers the parts supplied by us and the work carried out by us. The warranty does not cover damage inflicted by the customer after the repair and does not cover other faults that may occur after the repair. In the rare occasion that any parts are damaged by us during the repair we will replace the affected parts with no cost to the customer. A full check will be carried out before and after every repair to ensure that the phone is returned in the same state it was received in, apart from the intended repair(s).
Data protection, Memory cards and Sim cards -When you leave your device with us please ensure you have removed all memory cards and sim cards, these are not needed to complete your repair, or to test your device after repair. Please also ensure that you have fully backed up your device before you bring the device in to us, most procedures do not involve wiping your device but we ask customers to do this as in extreme cases your software may need to be flashed to return it to its original state. Gadget Magic are not responsible for any loss of data, sim cards or memory cards.
